During the period shown in the graph below we had been experiencing DDoS attacks aimed to send tiny packets but through vast connections, at the highest points we have been saying 2.8 million connections entering HTTP port 80. 

The blue line is a representation of INBOUND traffic to the server, the vast amount of connections hitting blocked normal availability, and at some points caused the Kernel on our servers to crash. 

We have implemented a further prevention method in an attempt to isolate and prevent any further attacks on our services, this is a much more strict control method and allows use to isolate attacks. From these changes implemented at 2:20AM this morning, we have managed to identify that the majority of attacks are coming from China and have been blocked upon entry.
