We are migrating all of our SQL services to a remote service in order to reduce resource comsumption across our main web servers which will contribute to reducing loading times and distributing traffic throughout our services.

As of 11PM on 24th February 2013, website(s) hosted on our services will need to have their configuration file updated to point at "mysql.5wire.info" or "mysql.5wire.co.uk" rather than localhost. This is because we are unable to automatically re-direct traffic from localhost to our remote MySQL server.

Example -

The following will need to be changed;

$host = 'localhost';

to

$host = 'mysql.5wire.info';

An announcement will be posted to instruct customers on how to do this.

Reseller Customers

You must inform your customers of these changes as MySQL will continue to function when using localhost following the completion of the transfer later this evening. As there is no way that we can automate the updating of configuration files it is your responsibility to inform them on how to do this.

Support / Problems

As our website will be down during the time of transfer please contact us via our Twitter Feed - https://twitter.com/5wirehosting

Kind Regards,
